Haeckels - Local Brands.

I've always liked some kind of scent producing object in my home, it might have been candles mostly at one point in my life but now however I find I am reaching more and more for Incense, and I've fallen in love with this brand! Haeckels, this brand is based not far away from me in the seaside town of margate, famous for its sandy beaches and Dreamland Themepark.

Anyway, the whole point of this fab brand is its all NATURAL! which is fab in a world where we use and consume so many processed and harmful products. They create everything from Skincare - Home Fragrance. Go check them out.

One thing that I've made an effort to do this year as much as I possibly can is support Local creatives, and companies, it can be hard to be a small business so for me I wanted to do what I can to support local businesses (big or small).

Ebony Came to Stay.

A couple of weeks ago my mum went away for a couple of days and we had this little ray of sunshine come and stay! I thought id share a couple of photos of us having a bit of fun in the field opposite where we live.

We bought her a little frisbee and threw it as hard as we could and watched her run after this thing like there was no tomorrow... this girl! Although she's getting on a bit in doggy years she's still up for a good run about and a good game of catch.

Autumn Walks (Betteshanger)

Sunday 8th October... Early afternoon.

Luke and I love a good walk, for as long as we've known each other walks have always been a vital part of life, weather walking for practical reasons (to get the train or into town). Or for fun... I know walking isn't for most people but for us it sorts everything out, If you're feeling a bit pants a good walk will sort you out.

My favourite time of year is Autumn by far, Winter is definitely up there too. One of the things that makes this time of year so special are the many walks that our family do this time of year, Its a very nostalgic feeling for me going for a walk.

We went to the area of Northbourne which is near where I grew up and used to spend alot of time here, my Auntie and Uncle had their Wedding reception in the village hall here. I feel such a sense of peace when I'm in this area. The leaves were changing colour, conkers had fallen from the trees, acorns and pine cones were everywhere. It was perfect.

We stopped of as we neared the car and had a cup of coffee, Luke brewed up on his little Coleman stove we both agree that this stove was one of the best things we've ever bought. As he brewed up I had a little explore and found the conker trees, and this view across the fields was beautiful. The different shades of yellow, green and orange always make me appreciate how beautiful the trees really are.

Hope you all had a fab weekend and Monday was good to you! Have a good rest of the week. See you soon.

Brew Up!

Kent, UK
One thing that I must confess is that I am a coffee lover, until I met Luke I wasn't much of a fan. But his love for coffee rubbed of on me, and In all the years that we've been together I have however grown to love coffee, the way that I take it has changed but none the less my love for the stuff has only grown.

(Brewing up after a long day)

Luke and myself are avid campers also, and one thing we needed to have in place when we went on our first camping trip as a couple, our coffee needs had to be sorted! Forget about a kettle, we needed a 'proper' coffee making solution. Here comes the Stove top Espresso maker, this thing has been used so much since we bought it; whether it be after a long hike, to start the morning right or even after a long day of window cleaning.

To brew up on we use a Coleman dual fuel stove, both Luke and I love using this beast (that is what it is really - a beast) it is small (heavy but small) and fits in a standard rucksack. Its a proper boys toy (but I openly admit that I love this thing) It goes everywhere with us.
One of the great things about this stove is the fact that its dual fuel. Which means it uses both petrol or Coleman fuel, we use petrol and have never had issue, bonus is its dirt cheap to run and petrol is everywhere so if you're ever in a tight spot you'll never run out of fuel to heat up your grub.
Not only is this a life saver when you need a coffee fix, but when camping you can cook up for dinner on this bad boy, we've cooked an entire curry on here before and it's done a great job.

Sometimes or in some circumstances this stove might not be suited for everyone. Hiking for instance, depending in how much you can carry this stove might be to heavy for you but if weight isn't a problem (the lucky few) then this stove is absolutely wonderful. We actually found ours second hand at a bargain price in a local marine (boat) shop they sell all sorts of parts be it bolts or pipe, fishing gear. Its Luke's ideas of heaven.  We are definitely taking this everywhere with us this year.

As for our little Espresso pot, thats coming too. We love that little thing and it brews up a good coffee, obviously depends on the type of coffee you use too but this little guy does very well.

Crabbing, Bonfires and BBQ's

Hi Guys,

These Summer evenings are one of the things that I love the most about this time of year, The sunsets that just light up the sky with the painting like colours, and the warm reassuring glow. During the Summer most Saturday evenings are spend on the beach having a BBQ with friends, the warm evenings seem to make everyone come together.

This particular day we found lots of crabs on the beach, I haven't done crabbing in years, so this really took me back! The beach was covered in them, the sea was on its way out and had left these little crabs in pools all along the beach.

One of my favourite things about Saturday evenings... Spending them with this one, That relaxing moment when you finish a day of work and come down to the beach and just relax.

As those Summer evenings draw to a close, the fire starts to die down and we get reminiscent over summers past and think forward to Summers to come. I can't wait for the rest of this Summer, lets see what it brings.

Our 1st Anniversary

Monday 16th May 2016:

Throwing it back nearly a month ago, on this day a year ago Luke and Myself were married, I cannot believe that it has been a full year now.

To celebrate our anniversary Luke had a surprise up his sleeve. I absolutely love everything gardening or flower related, and he took me to Kew Gardens in Richmond, London. I have always wanted to go there and this for me was the best present he could have possibly given me... I thought I would document this great day by blogging about it.

Although I love gardening I sadly don't have a garden of my own, I have a selection of lovely house plants that I adore but no garden, this is one of the reasons that I love going around gardens so much. Everything about them inspires me.

We took everything in, and were there a good long day! You could easily do it in two days. The biggest glass house was closed for renovation, which was a shame but wont be opened until 2018 so we will just have to go again :).

Inside the top of the Palm House - up here was really hot, in the palm house itself when we walked in my camera lens fogged up! ha.

This cutie!!

It was an absolutely amazing day, full of beauty - Take me back, please. I can't believe that year one has gone so quickly, it really doesn't seem real. Kew Gardens is well worth a visit, if you ever get a chance, go.

Hope you are all having a good week.

Hannah.

Current Favorites

Kent, UK
Hi There,

I thought I would share with you my current favorites, here are a few of the things I have been loving just recently. I've been really loving wearing a bold lip my go to lip colour at the moment is the one on the right, but this time of year my lips get really dry so I need a good lip balm and for years my go to lip balm is the Burt's Bees lip balm.

Left to Right - Star Candle (Primark), Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner (Boots), Revlon Lipstick in Black Cherry (Boots), Jo Malone in Peony and Blush Suede (Jo Malone London),  Cath Kidston Scrunchie (Cath Kidston), Revlon Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow (Boots), Burt's Bees (Boots), Lights from Lisa Angel (Ebay)

Since I got married in May, my go to fragrance is the Jo Malone - Peony and Blush Suede scent. It was my Wedding scent so not only is it sentimental but it smells so good!! All year round I love burning candles, I should probably buy a share in some candle company's. I've been loving the candles that Primark have in at the moment, the stars are fab and they do actually smell really nice the smell isn't that strong when lit but they look so pretty so who cares.

I love wearing eyeliner and the one I have loved for a while is the collection 2000 fast stroke eyeliner. It applies so well and last very well too!

Premium tealight holder (Primark, Winter ceramic tealight holder (Present from my brother), Star candle holders (Primark)

Hope you enjoyed my current favorites and I'll see you next week!
Goodnight

Hi there,

This is my first blogpost, my first mark on the world. I've always been a person with alot to say,  most of it about nonsense that people didn't want to hear about... As I've gotten older I've developed an appetite to express myself more, but luckily growing up has also given me a better quality of chosen topics to talk about.

I'm Hannah, I hope I can bring you topics on a weekly basis that are interesting not just for me but you too.

Thanks for reading
